Hattie Jule Hodes (she/her) is a Chicago based actor, deviser, and somatic practitioner.

She is a recent graduate of the University of Minnesota/Guthrie BFA Actor Training Program where she spent her days falling madly in love with language. In her time there, she had the transformative opportunity to study with the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford and at Shakespeare's Globe in London. From new works to classical texts - she believes in making theatre that feels embodied, alive, and resonant.

After many years practicing, Hattie decided to travel to Guatemala to get her 200 hour yoga teacher certification in the fall of 2024. Here, she was given the opportunity to tune into the deep wisdom of the body surrounded by hundreds of hummingbirds and the mystical mountains of lake Atitlán. Yoga informs every aspect of her life both on and off stage helping her cultivate presence, joy, and authenticity in all of her endeavors.

Hattie holds a reverence for both the absurd and the poetic alike. Her most recent project was a devised theatrical collage entitled  "Splitskys 2.0" exploring the idea of soul mates.
